We've Found Our Order

Despite the fact that today is Columbus Day I wanted to get this bit of information up, brought to my attention by one of the team members, that our order for Competitive Priorities was finalized over a week ago.  Jogging through my memory and the stockpile of emails that I refuse to delete I was able to confirm that this was quite true.
So much for trying to keep everything in your head, Ed...see what I just did?  Any-who, click for more after the break.

The following are our priorities in order from top being paramount down to the least prioritized.
  • Quality
  • Cost
  •  Flexibility
  • Time
We had our order predetermined approximately two weeks ago until we were informed that our focus should not be of the company's goals and mission, but that of the branch we are focusing on.

As mentioned in earlier posts we are looking at a particular aspect of the DSW store in Watchung, NJ. Luckily one of the Team Awesome members yawns "Time to make the donuts." prior to commuting there for work some mornings; with that advantage we are able to gain a better perspective as to what that particular DSW store recognizes as it's competitive priorities.

Just a little bit of gee-wiz to share, I came across healthy spoonful of information from the Institute for Manufacturing from the University of Cambridge.  It gave a pretty good breakdown for each dimension and the various different way you can look at quality, cost, flexibility, and time (lead-time).
